A Vision Comes to Life in The Heights
On June 7th, 2021, Adam Chunn — founder of Yawning Interests LLC — took the first step toward reimagining a prime corner in the Houston Heights. With the purchase of a 0.57-acre tract at Studewood Street and E. 10 1/2 Street, Yawning Property Development was born.
Adam envisioned more than just another commercial space — he set out to create a modern, three-story, Class A building that would serve as a vibrant hub for businesses and the community alike. Retail space (including a drive-thru option) would anchor the ground floor, while sleek, thoughtfully designed office spaces would span the upper levels.
Construction officially broke ground on August 30th, 2022.
The designs, masterfully created by Heights Venture Architects, blend timeless architecture with the spirit of The Heights. The build is led by CTC Contractors, known for their precision and craftsmanship.
